The company regulators
were waiting for someone to build.

PentEdge was founded by a 30-year financial services veteran who lived the problem firsthand — and built the solution community financial institutions deserve.

Founder's Story

She didn't set out to build a company.
She set out to solve a problem.

After 30 years navigating the intersection of financial services, technology, and regulation, Lisa Pent had a front-row seat to the industry's AI inflection point. She watched community financial institutions — the lifeblood of local economies — adopt AI tools without any framework for understanding, documenting, or governing them.

She also watched examiners start asking questions. Real questions. The kind that could produce findings if institutions weren't prepared. She had built governance frameworks at scale, navigated 40+ regulatory examinations with zero AI-related findings, and she knew exactly what examiners were looking for.

"Community financial institutions are doing the right things — adopting technology thoughtfully, serving their communities. They just needed someone to build the governance layer for them. So I did."
— Lisa Pent, Founder & CEO

PentEdge was founded on a simple thesis: regulatory expertise and purpose-built technology together, in service of the institutions that can't afford to get AI governance wrong. AIMS™ is the product of that thesis — built by practitioners, for practitioners.
